Wallimage Coproductions and Wallimpact (production and development financing)

Run by Wallimage, the economic film and games fund of Wallonia

An economic fund, so the question is Walloon spend rather than cultural fit, but its Wallimpact line pays producers EUR 50,000 to EUR 100,000 for scriptwriting and development, repaid only if the film gets made. Supported titles run from the Dardennes' Tori et Lokita to Astérix.

The money

€50,000 to €100,000Wallimpact development advances of EUR 50,000 to EUR 100,000 for one or two projects a round, recoverable if the project goes into production; production financing is a conditional participation sized per project from a EUR 5.5 million annual fund.
What it is

Independent Belgian production companies active for at least a year, with planned spending in Wallonia above EUR 300,000 (EUR 75,000 for a documentary) and more than 30 percent of the financing already in place. Wallimpact is open to Belgian producers for script, feasibility and marketing work.

When to apply

The fund works in fixed rounds. The next dates are not yet published; we add them when they are. Four production sessions a year (the 2026 filing dates were January 15, March 26, May 28 and September 10) and two Wallimpact sessions; 2027 dates not yet listed.
