Rules

The film's main producer must be based in a country on the OECD's DAC list of aid recipients and own the rights, with a director who is a citizen or resident of such a country. Only the Norwegian minority co-producer, an independent AS, may submit, with at least a letter of intent on co-production and half the financing confirmed. Films of 50 minutes or more, shot mainly in DAC countries.

When to apply

The fund opens once a year. The next cycle's dates are not yet published; we add them when they are. One deadline a year at noon, the form opening four weeks earlier; the next date was not on the page when read. Twelve weeks to a decision.

Projects pitched at the Sørfond pitch forum skip pre-selection and go straight to the jury.
