Estímulos Económicos para la Actividad Cinematográfica y Audiovisual (economic stimulus contests for film)

Run by Ministerio de Cultura del Perú, DAFO, Dirección del Audiovisual, la Fonografía y los Nuevos Medios

Peru runs a yearly set of contests rather than a standing fund: fiction, documentary, animation, shorts, films in post-production, minority co-productions and distribution, each with its own closing date in late spring. Development money for a fiction feature is modest at PEN 40,000, production reaches PEN 900,000.

When to apply

The fund opens once a year. The next cycle's dates are not yet published; we add them when they are. The 2026 contests ran from May to November; only international promotion remains open (November 13, 2026). The 2027 plan is not yet published.
