National fund Iceland, Reykjavik

Handritsstyrkir (script grants)

Run by Kvikmyndamiðstöð Íslands (Icelandic Film Centre)

Iceland pays for scripts in two stages, a first draft and then its development, each worth up to ISK 1.5 million for features, with a combined ISK 3 million for writers who have done it before. A writer can apply alone at any time, and separate script grants exist for scripted television and documentaries.
