Regional fund Spain, Valencia
Run by Institut Valencià de Cultura, IVC (Generalitat Valenciana)
Valencia pays a writer EUR 9,600 to draft a feature, miniseries, documentary or animated script, read anonymously as a treatment, a note of intent and a five-minute sample. A separate line gives producers around EUR 20,000 to develop a project, and at least 40 percent of that must reach the writer.
Grant, €9,600 to €25,300Open to writers in SpainA writer alone or a production company

ICAA, Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (Spanish Ministry of Culture)
Spain's main production money, paid in advance to the producer against a project rather than a finished film, with a points system that weighs the company's track record.
ICAA, Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (Spanish Ministry of Culture)
The one Spanish grant a screenwriter applies to with no producer: a fixed EUR 30,000 (EUR 20,000 for documentary) to write a feature, judged anonymously on a treatment and sample.
ICAA, Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (Spanish Ministry of Culture)
For the films the general aid overlooks: first features, documentaries, experimental and culturally driven projects, judged on the script and the team rather than box office history.
