Matching money for British Columbia producers who have already landed a development deal: Creative BC adds up to half of what the broadcaster, distributor or agency committed, as an advance that is never clawed back. Features, television drama, animation and documentary all qualify, but the trigger must come first.

Production companies incorporated in British Columbia with their head office there, owning at least 51 percent of the project and holding all rights, with a development commitment already in hand from an arm's-length broadcaster, distributor or funding agency. Interprovincial and treaty coproductions qualify.

When to apply

Applications are taken at any time; decisions follow in the fund's own rhythm. Opened April 27, 2026, first come, first served until the budget is committed or the fiscal year ends on March 31, 2027. Apply within 60 days of the triggering agent's commitment letter.
