Bourse d'écriture cinéma long-métrage (feature film writing bursary)

A writer alone, writing in French from anywhere in the world, can win EUR 5,000 for a first or second fiction feature. The bar is low in credits and high in competition: around ten bursaries a year, chosen by a committee whose names are published after each session. It stacks with every other aid.

Rules
The author files, never the producer. You must write directly in French, have made no more than one professionally produced fiction feature, and never have held a Beaumarchais feature bursary. One of three doors is required: film school training, a professionally produced short you wrote, or a production company behind you. No nationality, residency or age condition beyond being an adult. Documentaries and adaptations are excluded.

The fund opens once a year. The next cycle's dates are not yet published; we add them when they are. One commission a year in spring; the 2027 calendar is not yet set and an email alert is offered.
