- Individual artists aged 18 or over living in Washington State, not students, applying for themselves rather than a company or sponsored entity. Winners of a GAP in the previous five years and of other Artist Trust grants in the same year sit out.

When to apply
The fund opens once a year. The next cycle's dates are not yet published; we add them when they are. The 2026 round ran May 18 to June 22, 2026, with payment in October. The 2027 dates are not yet posted.
